Eileen J. Toon Eileen J. Toon, age 83, passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at her home after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born November 25, 1925, to Joe Johnson and Rose Gobble Johnson. She was a long time member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and loved to work with children. She was a mother, housewife, and homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Paula Toon; and sisters, Dortheda Price and Trelma Hayter; brothers, Charles Johnson of Knoxville, Tenn, Rev. Harry Johnson of Bristol Virginia, LC Johnson of Cobb Island, Md. Survivors: husband of 63 years, Paul Toon; two daughters, Janice Toon of the Home, and Debby Musselwhite and husband Joe of Bristol Tennessee; son, Randy Toon of Simpsonville, S.C.; grandsons, Haggins Cauthen and Joshua Toon of Simpsonville, S.C.; sister, Jean Gehlkin and husband Bob of Silversprings, Md.; brothers, A. Jay Johnson of Toms Brook, VA and Wayne Johnson and wife Elaine of Front Royal, Va.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at the Glenwood Cemetery Mausoleum with Rev. Steve Playl officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at Weaver funeral Home and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christian Life Center, Woodlawn Baptist Church, Southside Ave., Bristol, TN, or to The Alzheimer's Association , Northeast Tennessee Chapter, 207 North Boone Street, Suite 1050, Johnson City, TN 37605. I grew up across the street from the Toon family and remember Mrs. Toon. She was always kind to everyone and I'm glad I got to know her. May God comfort you during this time and always.
