Ellen Mae Davis COEBURN, Va. Ellen Mae Davis, 66, a virtuous faithful woman whose price was far above rubies, finished the good fight of faith and entered into paradise on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Mary Dearry. She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Davis. She was the dedicated pastor of Tacoma Holiness Christian Church of God. She opened her home with love to over 300 foster children throughout her life. She is survived by her husband and lifetime love of 49 years, Ralph Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Bedelia Davis; grandchildren, Shawn and Amber Michelle Thompson, Josh Davis and Cody Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Austin and Hailey Thompson; brothers, Junior Dearry and evangelist Joe Dearry; sister and brother-in-law, Cordie and Dan Collins; foster son and wife Walter and Karen Barlow; a host of nephews and nieces; her entire church family; and many other friends morn her passing. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, 6 to 9 p.m. at the Sturgill Funeral Home, 310 Sixth St., NW, Coeburn, VA. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at the Tacoma Holiness Christian Church, with Brother Joe Dearry officiating. Burial will follow in the Bruce Siding Cemetery, Coeburn. Mrs. Davis body will be the church Wednesday morning until time of service. Sturgill Funeral Homes, 310 Sixth St., NW, Coeburn, VAa 24230, in charge of arrangements.
