Elvertia Repass Puckett SALTVILLE, Va. Elvertia Repass Puckett "Big Granny", age 82, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed. Elvertia was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. "Pearl" Puckett; her parents, Dewey and Lorraine Repass; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Kate Puckett; and two sisters, Genevieve Harris and Bertha Hutton. She is survived by two daughters, Sally and Carl Lamie, Saltville and Kathy and Joey Elswick, Chilhowie, Va.; son, Randy Puckett, Saltville; two brothers, Charles W. and Nancy Repass, Glade Spring, Va., and Russell and Mary Repass, Oakfield, N.Y.; two sisters, Barbara and Bobby Olinger, Disputanta, Va., and Peggy Repass, Chilhowie; brother-in-law, Howard and Chris Puckett, Saltville; five grandchildren, Scott Pless, Jamie and Kelli Lamie, Alisha and David Henderson, Megan and Jimmy Perry, and Max Puckett; five great-grandchildren, Laura, Heavan, Cole, Cadan, and Kindra; several nieces and nephews; caregivers and special friends, Jayme Seabolt, Chasidy Deskins and Frances Eastridge. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Warren Chang, critical care unit and 4th floor nursing staff at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the Elizabeth Cemetery with the Rev. Benny Frye officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery. Randy, Teresa and I are so sorry to hear about your mom. We remenber when you were there for us when dad, mom, and Ronnie passed. I guess all I can say is now she is in great company. If there is anything we can do, please don't hesitate to let us know.

We are so sorry of the loss of Elvertia. She was a great lady a very sweet person to be around. I know how you are feeling when dad passed away and C.D. it was so hard. We don't wont them to suffer.Elvertia is no longer suffering she is in the arms of jesus and I really thank it won't be long untill we will all be together for ever and ever. I have been thanking about you and praying for you and the family. Our family loves your family dearly. Please if there is anything we can do let us know. Just thank we have the greatest person to help us get through sad times and his name is Jesus, it would be so hard if we didn't have him to carry us through times like this. may God bless each and ever one of you all.
