Eugene Edward Worley Jr. BRISTOL, Va. Eugene Edward Worley Jr., age 68, passed away on Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at the Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. Eugene was born June 11, 1942, in Bristol Tennessee, a son of the late Eugene Edward and Clayeta Maxie Patrick Worley Sr. He lived in the Bristol area all his life and retired from Bristol Virginia City Schools where he had worked in maintenance for several years. Mr. Worley was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary Marie Worley; daughters, Donna Barker and husband Richard, of Birdsboro, Pa., Deborah Shaver and Ronnie Combs, and Vickie Slagle and husband Randall; stepdaughters, Marie Bebbers and Brenda Self; stepson, Charles Burson; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six brothers-in-law; and six sisters-in-law. The funeral service for Mr. Worley will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Leonard officiating. The committal service and burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Worley, David Shaver, Harley Bebbers, B.J. Burson, Eric Burson and Bobby Walden. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
