Eugene Grimes Mr. Eugene Grimes, 78, 509 Virginia St., departed this life on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at Wellmont Bristol Hospice House. Mrs. Grimes was born in Boone, N.C., and made his home here for the part 4O years, a member of New Hope Baptist Church where is sang with the Male Chorus. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Vienna Grimes McCurry. Survivors include his loving wife, Mrs. Hattie Grimes of the home; one brother, John Marshall Grimes, Boone; one sister, Mrs. Lois Carey of Pennsylvania. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday Jan. 1, 2O11, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. William J. Reid officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. Graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Tri-City Memory Gardens. The cortege will depart R.A. Clark Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Mr. Grimes and family are in the care of R.A. Clark Funeral Service, Inc. 423-764-8584 www.raclarkfuneralservice.com

Aunt Hattie..so sorry to hear about your loss. gene was a very sweet man and always made us welcome into your alls home.he will be missed but just know he is rejoicing in the Lords house now..No more pain.No more sorrow!! we love you..will see you soon. Cathy, nathan.and Nikita
