Evelyn Elledge Cox

Evelyn Elledge Cox Evelyn Elledge Cox, age 84, passed away Sept. 9, 2010, at her home. She was born in Gillam, W.Va., July 20, 1926. Evelyn was a 1946 graduate of Marion High School. She was also a graduate of Marion College and Radford College. She taught first grade at Riverside and Marion Primary schools for 30 years. Evelyn was a faithful member of South Fork Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Nannie Pennington Elledge; husband, Cameron Cox; brothers, Everett (Buck) Elledge and Ernie Elledge. Evelyn is survived by uncle and aunt, Roy and Maggie Pennington; and several nephews, nieces, cousins and brother and sister-in-laws. Funeral services will be held, Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mark Totten officiating. Burial will follow at Round Hill Cemetery in Marion, Va. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
