Frank L. Morehead Frank Lee Morehead, 89, of Bland went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke. Funeral service was held Thursday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m. at the A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in White Gate with the Revs. Danny Shortridge and Randolph Morris officiating. Interment was in the Shiloh Cemetery at Hollybrook. He was born Nov. 1, 1920, at Crandon, son of the late William Bunyon and Cora Ellen Steffey Morehead. He was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church and was retired from Radford Army Ammunition Plant with 28 years of service. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Lynn Morehead; two sisters, Alice M, Mustard and Ethel M. Dickens; a brother, Andrew David Morehead; three sisters-in-law, Nancy Morehead, Carol Morehead and Mary Ellen Morehead; and three brothers-in-law, Robert W. Crockett, Tommy Morehead and Garland Mustard. Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Virginia Edna Faulkner Morehead of Bland; a daughter and son-in-law, Terri Denise and Jeff Lambert of Bland; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Gilbert L. Morehead and Ola of Bland, Paul D. Morehead of Bland and James R. Morehead of Wytheville; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Frances W. Crockett of Wytheville, Jean M. Morehead and her son, Gary, of Wytheville, Opal M. and Jim Strouse of Fairfax; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Saford and Dana Blankenship and Donna Williams. A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home in White Gate was in charge of the arrangements.
