Franklin Lee Slaughter Sr. The funeral service for Franklin Lee Slaughter Sr. will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Akard Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will be in Campground Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Vanessa Gause, Judy Hopson, Mary Ann Slaughter Moss, Tim Hudson, Garth Blackburn, Billy Wells and Ed Houston. Those desiring may send flowers or memorials may be sent to the .
