Fredrick J. Gillespie SALTVILLE, Va. Fredrick J. Gillespie, age 87, passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, Va. He was a member of the Madam Russell United Methodist Church. Mr. Gillespie was preceded in death by his wife, Dortha "Dot" Gillespie. He is survived by two nephews, Rocky Gillespie of Beckley, W.Va., Steve Gillespie of Saltville; brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Cahill and wife Reba of Saltville; special friend, Jake Gillespie of Saltville. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Don Petty and Rev. Bill Cahill officiating. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday prior to the services. Honorary pallbearers will be; A.T. Davis, Frank Frye, Junior Dempsey, J.T. Kelley, and Charles "Bud" Frye. Special thanks to the second floor staff at Valley Health Care Center.
