Gary Allen Owens BLUFF CITY, Tenn. Gary Allen Owens, age 54, passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at his home. He was born April 29, 1956, in Bristol Virginia, a son of John D. and Dorothy Hughes Owens. He was part of the military police in the U.S. Air Force and also retired from Siemens Corporation. Gary was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Owens; and his father, John D. Owens. Survivors include: sons, Clinton Allen Owens and Jerry Owens; grandson, Timothy "Cat Bird" Owens; mother, Dorothy Owens; sister, Diana Jessee and husband David R.; brothers, John Michael Owens and wife Tammie, Kenneth Eugene Owens; special friend, Linda Owens; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. Owens was held Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at 6 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jack Stevens officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
