Gary Edgar Baker LEBANON, Va. Gary Edgar Baker, 51, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010. Born on Jan. 4, 1959, in Buchanan County, Va., he was the son of Lloyd and Violet Baker. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his wife, Diane Stinson Baker; son, Gary Baker Jr. and wife Amanda; daughter, Rebecca Baker Meade and husband Daniel; four grandchildren, Alexis, Levi, Kennedy and Destini; sisters, Connie Johnson and husband Harry and Francis Gobble and husband David: brother, Douglas Baker, all of Russell County; and brother, Lloyd Baker Jr. and wife Francis of North Carolina. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, at Faith Tabernacle Church in Lebanon, with Rev. Donald Mullins officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. Owens Funeral Service, Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements.
