Gay W. Hart Heath MARION, Va. Gay W. Hart Heath, age 74, passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn. She was born in Marion, to the late Bradford and Verna Shuler, and was preceded in death by her first husband, French A. Hart; and three sisters, Dorothy Berry, Betty Heffinger, and Faye Wyatt. She was a lifelong member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and retired from Smyth County Community Hospital with over 35 years of service. Survivors include husband, Delmar Heath; two sons, Eddie Hart and special friend, Jackie McVey and granddaughter, Kristen Lowery, Keith Hart and special friend, Glenda Woods; sister, Addie Page, Elm City, N.C.; step-children, Carol Pickle, Chilhowie, Buster Heath, Chilhowie, and Anna Lee French, Chilhowie; step-sisters and brothers, Grace Hutton and husband Gale, Sugar Grove, D.C. Shuler and wife Mary Lee, Texas, and Raymond Shuler, Chilhowie; brother-in-law, Henry C. Hart, Marion; sisters-in-law, Nancy Hart, Marion, and Mabel Hayden, Marion; nieces and nephews, Pandy Burris, Megan Burris, Joy Heffinger, David Heffinger, Tommy Gentry and Rodney Gentry; and several other nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday morning, Nov. 21, 2010, at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Chilhowie with Pastor Tim Blevins and Pastor Mike Sage officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 9-10 a.m. at the Macedonia Baptist Church. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions in Gay's Memory can be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church, 1183 St. Clair's Creek Road, Chilhowie, VA 24319. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home is serving the family.

God Bless you during this time. I worked with Gay several years ago at SCCH. She was always very kind to me and always had a smile and a kind word when we would see each other at work. I worked in Medical Records at that time and would see her when I had to go to the floors to chart reports. I'll always remember her kindness and her smile. God Bless you all.
