George H. Henderson

George H. Henderson BRISTOL, Va. Rev. George H. Henderson, age 79, went to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at his home. He was born March 14, 1930 in Washington Co., Va., a son of the late Claude and Hettie Anderson Henderson. He was the Pastor of Three Springs Baptist Church for 33 years and was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving 15 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Debra Sue Henderson and Mary Jane Henderson. Survivors include: wife, Janie Clyde Sweet Henderson; son, Danny Henderson and wife Donna Sue; grandchildren, Ben, Katy and Tyler Henderson; great-grandson, Logan McKitrick; sister, Violet Lewis; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at 8 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Benny Bowman and Pastor Charlie Baker officiating. The burial will be private in Greenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, Va. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday.
