Glenda Scyphers Barnes ABINGDON, Va. Funeral services for Glenda Scyphers Barnes will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Valley's Chapel Church on Brumley Gap Road, Abingdon, Va., with the Rev. Archie Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Virginia Chapter, 5511 Staples Mill Road, Suite 202B, Richmond, VA 23228, in her memory. Online condolences may be submitted at www.frostfuneralhome.com Glenda Scyphers Barnes, age 50, a resident of Rich Valley Road, received her dream of a new body on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at 1:15 a.m. after a nine year struggle with cancer of the bone marrow. Fr ost Funeral Home, 250 E. Main St., Abingdon, VA, is serving the family of Glenda Scyphers Barnes.

We did not learn of Glendas passing until Sunday night. So sorry! She was a great Christian lady and an inspiration to all who knew her. She will surely be missed by us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of your family.

to the sychphers family i was so sorry to see glenda has lost her battle with cancer i guess the only good thing about it is she is not suffering any more and is at rest with a brand new body i know you will miss her very much take care and know you are in our prayers
