Guy Therman Leonard LAKE VILLA, Ill. Guy Therman Leonard, 72, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 in Lake Villa, Ill. He was a wonderful, caring man who had a special sense of humor, loved his children. He was a machine operator for Baxter Health Care for 15 years. He was a logger when he lived in Bristol. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Antioch, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, two sisters and four brothers. Survivors: two daughters, Kathy Miller and husband, Barry of Hayward, Wis., and Vickie Leonard Kanka and husband, Tom of Lake Villa, Ill.; one sister, Carol Wingate of Bristol Tennessee; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and mother of his children, Patsy Leonard; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, in Gum Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Brunette officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons and sons-in-law. The family will receive friends from 5 7 p.m., Monday at Akard Funeral Home or anytime at the home of the sister, Carol Wingate.
