Gwen Dean Gladson CLEVELAND, Tenn. Gwen Dean Gladson, 51, passed away Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at a Chattanooga hospital. She was a member of Samples Memorial Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for several years. She was volunteer of the year at Oak Grove Elementary School in 2007-08. She was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jean Gladson Howard; maternal grandparent, A.C. Gee; and paternal grandparents, Tom and Estelle Gladson. She is survived by her maternal grandmother, Pearl Gee of Cleveland; parents, Carl and Mary Gladson of Cleveland; brother, Charles Gladson and wife, Gail, of Castlewood, Va.; nephews, Tony Howard and wife, Patches, of Chatsworth, Ga., David Gladson and wife, Nina, of Newport, N.C., and John Gladson of Bristol Virginia; great nieces, Lacy Howard, Emily Howard and Kayley Howard, all of Chatsworth; and special friends, Sonny and Elisa Howard of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Ingram and Assistant Pastor Mark Cameron officiating. Interment will follow in Samples Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with John Gladson, David Gladson, Tony Howard, Carl Freeman, Jr., Jimmy Bryson and Alvin Bishop serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
