H. Montgomery Obituary

H. Wayne Montgomery BRISTOL, Tenn. H. Wayne Montgomery, age 75, passed away on Sept. 4, 2010, at the VA Medical Center. He was born in Bristol, a son to the late Roy and Mary Sue Arnold Montgomery. Wayne retired from Valleydale as a truck driver and also worked at Cowan Brothers. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War and was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Cullop Montgomery; and a brother, Bill Montgomery. Survivors include: daughter, Betty Ann Morton; brothers, David Montgomery and Herb Montgomery; sister, Sue Elizabeth Davis; grandchildren, Jessica Ann Morton and Stephen Morton; great-grandchildren, Logan Mabe and Bailey McCracken. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Noah Stout officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Travis Montgomery, David Montgomery, Mike Montgomery, Herb Montgomery, Stephen Luttrell, and David Widener. Military honors will be presented by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home. Online condolences may be registered at www.Weaverfuneralhome.net Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
