I only found out today about Doug's passing. I purchased a car from him on April 13, the first time I had ever met him. Such a kind sweet spirit. It was because of his kindness, I liked him. Knew he was a family man, and a man that loved God. My sympathy to his wife and kids and family. I too lost my husband 5 years ago from a heart attack. I am praying for you all.

I knew Doug well, we spent countless hours together growing up. Whether it was on the basketball court, or in the tobacco fields. You could always count on him, a truly great person. I will always remember working with Doug in that field in front of his Mom and Dad's house. The rows of tobacco were so long, by the time you finished hoeing, the weeds were already growing back. We were just a couple of boys wishing we could be anywhere else, but we passed the time talking to each other and we got through it. I treasure my time spent with Doug, I am a better person for it. Everyone who knew him is.
