Hubert Edward King Sr. BRISTOL, Tenn. Hubert Edward "Pete" King Sr., age 83, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 24, 2010, at his home. He was a native of Bristol and made his home in Florida for 26 years, returning to Bristol in 1988. He was the son of the late Jasper Lee and Elizabeth Nidiffer King. He retired from the state of Florida schools and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WW II. He was a born again believer. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Parker King; one daughter, Elizabeth King; two sons, Hubert E. King Jr. and Joseph D. King, all of Bristol Tennessee; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 27, 2010m in Glenwood Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Branch officiating. Entombment will follow. Pallbearers will be Jason King, Chase King, Christopher Sullivan, Jeff King, Steve Hamelink and Chris Hamelink. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home but friends may call at the home. Email condolences may be sent to the family at [email protected] Akard Funeral Home, 1912 W.
