TO THE FAMILY: WE ARE TRULY SADDEN BY THE LOST OF A SPECIAL FREIND,FATHER FIGURE THAT HE WAS TO MYSELF AND MY EXTENDED FAMILY IN HAMPTON VIRGINIA AREA. WE WILL CONTINUE TO REMEMBER "ICE" AS WE CALLED HIM AS A VERY WARM UNDERSTNDING MAN WHO ALWAYS KEPT IT REAL WHEN I WE WOULD ENGAGE IN CONVERSATION. I WILL ALSO REMEMBER HOW HE WOULD DO MY CHORES AROUND THE HOUSE WHEN HE AND MY MORTHER WERE IN A RELATIONSHIP SO THAT I COULD GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY WITH MY FRIENDS AND NOT GET INTO TROUBLE.(SMILE) MAN "ICE" EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T TELL HIM MUCH HE ALWAYS KNEW THAT I/WE LOVED AND EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE GONE ICE YOU'RE NOT FORGOTTEN. A SPECIAL TAHNKYOU TO THE FAMILY FOR ALLOWING MY FAMILY(PAULETTE ALSTON)TO HAVE WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF SUCH A GREAT MAN THAT I LOOKED UP TO AS MY FATHER THAT I NEVER HAD.WE LOVE YOU ICE!!!!!

To the Family: I am deeply saddened by the death of Iran. I'm proud to have known such a kind, warm and friendly person. Iran and I became friends way back in elementary school. Even through the years as we became older, Iran was still warm and gentle. He always found a way to make me laugh and those are the memories I will always cherish. In January of this year, during the snow storm in DC, I had a chance to talk to Iran about events remembered from the past. He was always upbeat and engaging, always ready to listen. He was a good friend and I will sorely miss him. I am grateful to have known him and he will always be remembered as the sweet, gentle, fun loving person.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and may the comfort of God help you during this difficult time. May the memories of Iran and the love of family surround all of you and give each of you the strength in the days ahead.

To the family: I am sorry I was unable to make visitation and unable to talk much (because of the rain) at Iran's graveside services. Even though I have not seen or talked to Dee Dee since we graduated Virginia High, I have nothing but good memories of him. We were close at Virginia Jr. High, not so much in High School. I remember him as a warm, friendly, classy guy. He was a good person and I am sorry we have lost him.
