James Joseph Bray GRAY, Tenn. James Joseph Bray, age 72, passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at the Life Care Center of Gray. He was born Aug. 7, 1938, in Andover, Va., a son of the late John Henley and Bessie Lee Smith Bray. James was a U.S. Air Force veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Marjorie Bray, Frances Johnson and Wanda Sourbeer. Survivors include: sisters, Phyllis Lewis, Jane Kite and Jean Mauk; brothers, Ron Bray and David Bray; special friend, Peggy Ragsdale; son, Jody Bray; daughter, Betsy Bray. A graveside service for Mr. Bray will be held Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the VA National Cemetery in Mountain Home, Tenn., with the VFW Honor Guard chaplain officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Weaver Funeral Home. Online condolences may be registered at www.weaverfuneralhome.net Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home.
