He's my dad. It's Desmond Dad. I know you'll never read this but it helps. I come back to this page a lot and I want you know I'm 30 now. I'm about to be 31 this year and I really wish you were here to give me the guidance I need. It's okay. I know it was your time. I hope I'm making you proud. I get up everyday to try to make you and mom prouder and prouder of the young man y'all made.

We were sorry to learn of Mike's passing. I remember Mike being able to bring a smile to everyone's face. Mike's homegoing service was very special and to hear that Mike saw the light as he was preparing to pass over brought joy to my heart. I pray to experience that some day. May you and your sons find comfort in your memories of Mike and in the expressions from family and friends. You and your sons are loved. May God bless you always.

First may I express my deepest condolences and sympathies for the loss of "Mike". I worked with "Mike" for the past five years at Sandvik. I found his attitude and encouragement to his co-workers always positive and upbeat. He was the only person who contacted me after a hard spot and gave me encouragement. Dear Valerie,
I would just like you to know that you and your family are in my prayers. Ive known Mike all my life and could never say anything but good things about him,(and that aint easy nowadays). I can remember when I was just a young teenager and Mike would come up to the schoolhouse to play ball and would have the little "pony" millers in his cooler. I used to think that was the coolest thing. That has always been my most vivid memory of him, and the fact that he was so proud of your son doing so well in swimming. I hope my sharing was appropriate, if not , I apologize.
