James F. "Jim" Moore BRISTOL, Tenn. James F. "Jim" Moore, age 58, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at the Bristol Regional Medical. He was born Feb. 8, 1952, was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. He was a former employee of Bristol Virginia Transit System and truck driver for Coyne Textiles. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and a member of the Foggy Mountain Grass Band. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Moore; and a son, James Allan Moore. Survivors include: special loving friend, Gracie Leonard; daughter, Shelly Goodson Moore; nine grandchildren; one niece; two nephews; sister, Linda Nelson; special friends, Richard and Peggy Spiva. A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at the Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Burnette officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Miller, Don Miller, Jeff Oliver, Brian Spiva, Ricky Goodson, Phil Maiden, Ken Musick, Charles Price, Bob Taylor and Randy Dixon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church, 20572 Benhams Road, Bristol, VA 24201. Mr. Moore's wishes were to be cremated. Special thanks to long time friend and physican, Dr. Tom Green, Jr. and staff and nurse, Pat, with Amedisys Home Care. Arrangements were made with Weaver Funeral Home.

Jimmy was a great man...My prayers reach out to the family and friends that was able to have known this wonderful man... Him and Papaw (Vern) are now together laughing like they always did. To the family please let us know if you need anything! He will be missed!

I'll miss the emails he sent almost everyday.Last time I saw him was the 10th of June; never thought it would be the last. I do know that he and Vernon are together again and catching up. James was a very special person and will be missed.
