James "Jim" W. Reynolds BRISTOL, Tenn. James "Jim" W. Reynolds, age 75, went to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born June 30, 1935, in Moccsion Gap, Va., a son of the late James S. Reynolds and Scottie Reynolds Ornduff. He was a retired driver for A and I Trucking and was a member of Hunt Memorial United Methodist Church. Jim was also an avid golfer, a member of the American Legion and he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie S. Reynolds; daughter, Virginia S. Reynolds; sisters, Vivian Carrier and Margaret Whitaker; and step-brother, Roger Reynolds. Survivors include: wife, Lois Hayden Reynolds; daughter, Connie Goodman and husband Jim; granddaughter, Sarah Goodman Howell and husband Nic; sister, Dee Luck and Husband Jody; two step-children, S Sgt. Jason Hayden and wife Gretta, Teresa H., Stringer and husband Martin; step-grandchildren, Sarah Hayden, Austin Hayden, Samantha Stringer and Nate Stringer; step-mother, Ruby Reynolds; step-brothers, J. Stanley Reynolds, Bobby, David and Mike; step-sisters, Sandra Carrier and Donna Ball; special friends, Dennie and Sue Blair. A funeral service will be held Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at 8 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mary Minnick and Rev. John Roe officiating. The burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 p.m. prior to the service. Dearest Connie and family,
I was sad to hear of Jim's passing today. I have very fond memories of him and Bobbie. I remeber all of us sharing vacations and many good times together. Our families was blended together at one time in the past, during our most treasured times. I think of them from time to time and I always smile. I know Jim is in such a wonderful place now and he has returned home to be with the Lord. You are in our prayers and hearts always. Lois, Connie and Jimmy ; We have so many good memories of Jim. He was a very special man to us, and we will miss him. Dennie and Jim were friends many years. Dennie loved him like a brother, and he will be missed.They loved their Golf, and the trips they took together.
