Janann Kathleen Kohl BRISTOL, Va. Janann Kathleen Benn Kohl, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at the Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. Janann was born Aug. 10, 1925, in Dubuque, Iowa, a daughter of the late Raymond Mark and Marie Kintzinger Benn. She was a former resident of Niles, Ill., and had moved to the Bristol area in 1998. Mrs. Kohl was member of Saint Anne Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Kohl; and her son, Raymond Kohl. Survivors include: her daughter, Mary Kohl Douglas and husband Robert; grandchildren, Anne Douglas Johnson and husband David, Theresa Wright and husband Patrick and Catherine Douglas; great-grandchildren, Annie and Aron. A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Kohl will be held Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at 7 p.m. at Saint Anne Catholic Church with Reverend Timothy E. Keeney, celebrant. Entombment and committal services will Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Mountain View Mausoleum, with a procession leaving Saint Anne Catholic Church at 9:45 a.m. The family will receive friends from 5:30 6:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Anne Catholic School, 350 Euclid Ave., Bristol, VA 24201; Apple Academy, 301 Euclid Ave., Bristol, VA 24201; or Bristol Life Saving Crew, 1601 Euclid Ave., Bristol, VA 24201.
