Janie Lee Hatcher BRISTOL, Tenn. Janie Lee Hatcher, age 63, went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2010, at Wellmont Hospice House following a brief battle with brain cancer. She was born on July 9, 1946, a daughter of the late Henry Harrison and Mary Harrison. She was born in Saltville, Va., and lived in the Bristol area all of her life. She was a hair dresser for 40 plus years and during her time on earth she touched many people in a very positive and inspiring way. Survivors include: son, Dave "Lil' Dave" Hatcher II and wife Melanie of LaVergne; sister, Susan Barker and family of Franklin, Tenn. Along with nephews, Mike and Paul Dillow and their families of Bristol Tennessee. A special thanks to Janie's dear friend Kathy Gardner, Dave Hatcher, all of her family and friends, and church family who watched over her until the end. The wonderful care that Janie received while at Bristol Regional Medical Center and Wellmont Hospice House is also greatly appreciated. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Ledger officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7:15 p.m. prior to the service. The burial will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Glenwood Cemetery. Dave and Melanie,
I am sorry about your mom. We were on vacation when she passed. She was a long time family friend and my hairdresser. I was shocked when my daughter-in-law called to tell me. She was a wonderful person. God has another special angel in heaven!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I know that your Mother is rejoicing with Jesus in heaven. You were blessed to have her in your lives. I am sure she was a great mother/mother-in-law, and I know you will miss her very much. Take comfort in knowing that you are in the prayers of many here at LaVergne First United Methodist Church. If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know.
God be with you,
Darlene
