Jimmie Alden Richards BLUFF CITY, Tenn. Jimmie Alden Richards, 60, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at his residence. He was a Carter County native but lived his entire life in Bluff City. He was a graduate of Bluff City High School and attended East Tennessee State University. Jimmie was employed at Smokebusters of Elizabethton. He was a member of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Jimmie was preceded in death by his father Frank Berlin Richards, February 14, 2009. Survivors include five sons, James David Richards, wife Mia, Justin Andrew Richards and wife Carla and Dustin Ashley Richards and wife Annie all of Bristol Tennessee, Brandon Neil Richards and wife Ann Katherine, Elk Park, N.C., and Jimmy Tyler Richards, Johnson City; nine grandchildren; his mother, Carmen Grace Jenkins Richards, Bluff City; brother and sister-in-law, Frank Edward and Cathy Richards, Bluff City; one niece, Claudia Lewis, Brentwood, Calif. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jamie Ferguson officiating. Graveside service and Interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, in the Chinquapin Grove Cemetery, Bluff City. Active pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Saturday will be: Verl Kaylor, Johnny Jenkins, Joe Vance, Earl Lyon Jr., Greg Glover, Darryl Larkin, Tracy Greer, Terry Wampler and Jack Jenkins. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion and Tennessee National Guard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Saturday. Condolences may be e-mailed to [email protected]. Ed, Peggy and Family,
