John W. Bartee ST. PAUL, Va. John W. Bartee, 91, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at the home of his son. He was born in Kentucky, son of the late Dode and Eliza Jane Ramsey Bartee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Bartee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was retired from Clinchfield Railroad. He is survived by two sons, Dodie Bartee of Bristol Virginia, and Larry Bartee of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, Helen Crowder of St. Paul, and Mildred Steffey of St. Paul; one brother, Harold Bartee of Castlewood, Va.; two grandsons, Chris Bartee and Seth Bartee; two great- granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for John W. Bartee will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, with Chaplain Landon Whited officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
