Joyace A. Casey DAMASCUS, Va. Joyace A. Casey, age 44, passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. She was a lifelong resident of Damascus and was the daughter of the late Ben and Addie Rosenbaum. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter L. Casey; and two brothers, Benny Ray Rosenbaum and Jimmy Rosenbaum. She is survived by one son, Michael Lee Casey of Burkeville, Va.; three sisters, Louise Winters of Bristol Virginia, Wanda Mahala of Damascus, and Dora Lee Brown of Abingdon; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Pastor Garnet Rogers officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Mahala, Robert Winters, Ben Winters, Daniel Walls, Charlie Brown, and Adam Winters. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewey Mahala, David Swift, Bob Casey, Ray Blevins, Abby Spicer, and Timmy Key. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at Garrett Funeral Home.
