Juanita Horne

Juanita "Netia" Meadows Horne HONAKER, Va. Mrs. Juanita "Netia" Meadows Horne, age 88, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at the home of her daughter. Born Feb. 19, 1921, in Clell, Va., she was a daughter of the late Toy and Carrie Jane Hurt Meadows. She had lived most of her life in the Buchanan and Russell County areas. She attended Finney Baptist Church, Free Christian Church, and Finney Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Willard Horne; one brother, Dexter Meadows; and two sisters, Dorothy Hale and Peggy Avis Meadows. Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Baldwin and husband Rev. Wayne Baldwin and Wilma Honaker and husband Garland, all of Honaker, and Judith Fuller and husband Ron of Seymour, Tenn.; two sisters, Roxie Meadows of Hickory, N.C., and Dulcie Hale of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, Raymond Meadows and wife Billie of Oakwood, Va.; four grandchildren, Harvey Eugene Honaker and wife Tonya, Larrina Carol Osborne and husband Steve, Sara Denise Fuller and Jessie Alyssa Fuller; three great-grandchildren, David Kennith Osborne, Carla Jean Osborne and Easton Chase Honaker; two special friends, Grace Ann Keen and Alice Faye Street; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to extend a special thank you to RCMC Hospice and Dr. Brian Easton. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, with Rev. Stephen Musick, Rev. Edward Tiller and Rev. Ancil Childress officiating. Interment will follow Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Va. Pallbearers will be Harvey Honaker, Steve Osborne, Jeffery Meadows, Jamie Meadows, Ray Meadows and Leonard Meadows. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Friday.
