Kate "Nell" Parrott Bausell LEBANON, Va. Kate "Nell" Parrott Bausell passed away, Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Russell County Medical Center. She was born Aug. 17, 1919, to J.R. Parrott and Vada Kiser Parrott. Kate was a graduate of Clinch Valley Hospital School of Nursing and worked in the profession she loved in Richlands, Bluefield, Norton and Abingdon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry "Jack" Bausell; her brother, James Parrott; and sister, Lois Parrott Austin. Surviving are one niece, Dr. Geneva Parrott Munsey and husband, George, Cleveland, Va.; one nephew, John Parrott and wife, Melba, Crestview, Fla.; one stepson, Gary Bausell and wife, Cindy, San Antonio; one stepdaughter, Donna Giguere and husband, Real, Allen, Texas; and five step- grandchildren. Also surviving are step-great-grandchildren, cousins and a special friend, Anna Ruth Williams, Lebanon, with whom she made her home and considered a sister. In keeping with her wishes, there will be a private graveside service and no visitation. Combs Funeral Service , 291 Fincastle Road, Lebanon, VA 24266, (276) 889-4444, is serving the Bausell family.
