Kenneth "Kenny" Lagerholm

Kenneth "Kenny" Lagerholm BRISTOL, Va. Kenneth "Kenny" Lagerholm, age 62, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Wellmont Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Salem, Va., and lived most of his life in Bristol Virginia. Kenny retired from Reynolds Metals after 30 years of service. He was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church. Kenny loved everything outdoors including gardening, golfing, fishing, hunting and had a special knack with computers. He enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Lagerholm. Survivors include his mother, Edna Woods Lagerholm of Bristol Virginia; his wife of 39 years and his "special angel," Diane Crusenberry Lagerholm; two daughters, Jennifer Groves and her husband, Robert, of Bristol Virginia, and Heather Slagle of Johnson City, Tenn.; one sister, Marianne Lagerholm of Johnson City, Tenn.; one brother, Mike Lagerholm and wife, Nancy, of Chilhowie, Va,; three grandchildren, Dawson Groves, Kaylee Slagle and Emilee Slagle; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dr. Tom Green and interns, Dr. Suzanne Patton, Heather Greene, N.P., staff and nurses at Blue Ridge Medical Associates, the nurses on 3 West at Bristol Regional Medical Center and the Wellmont Hospice House. The memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, in Mountain View Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Barbara Farmer officiating. Inurnment will follow. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at Mountain View Mausoleum Chapel.
