Kermit Rakes The family of Mr. Rakes will receive friends from 5 until 7:45, Sunday evening May 2, 2010, at Piney Flats First Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Allen Davis and the Rev. Reed Mullins officiating. The committal service and entombment will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning May 3, 2010, at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Landon Kiser, Curtis Tackett, George Williams, Bob Miller, Joe Papp and Larry Crowe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Piney Flats First Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 Cherry Road, Piney Flats,TN 37686. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed by visiting www.oakley-cook.com. Arrangements especially for Mr. Rakes and his family have been made through Oakley-Cook Funeral Home.

Jewell, Rick, & Family'
I offer my deepest sympathyin your loss. I will always remember Kermit as a talented dedicated teacher and friend that did so much to help students under his direction to become successful in life. It was my pleasure to know and work with him. He will be missed by all who knew him.
