Lonnie Gene Johnson MARION, Va. Lonnie Gene Johnson, age 53, passed away on Oct. 16, 2010, in the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion. He was born in Plant City, Fla., to the late Hosea and Dorothy Hall Johnson. He was the owner of Lucky Dog Concrete Company for many years. He is survived by: his wife of 33 years, Sheri Johnson; his daughter, Genea Johnson of the home; two brothers, Vincent Hall, Alabama, Dale Johnson, Alabama; one sister, Susie Newhouse, Pennsylvania; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donnie and Sharon Tanner; a special sister-in-law, Charlene Schofield, Marion; his nieces and nephews, James, Michael and Shannon Bradley; very special friends, Joe Ray and Jackie. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at the Southfork Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mike Sage officiating.
