Lonnie Bill Phillips DANTE, Va. Lonnie Bill Phillips, 79, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at his home. He was born in Dante, son of the late Banner and Agnes Phillips. He was a gentle and kind man. He is survived by one daughter, Robin Phillips of Bristol Virginia and her fiance Calvin Cox; two sons, Justin Phillips of Bristol Virginia, and Bobby Phillips of Bristol Virginia: three sisters, Hazel Barnette of Castlewood, Dorothy Amos of Castlewood and Ruth Phillips of Dante; four brothers, Paul E. Phillips of St. Paul, Va., Arthur L. Phillips of Dante, Rev. Teddy Phillips of Castlewood and Jerry "Squeak" Phillips of Dante; seven grandchildren, Kelsie Phillips, Dalton Plaster, Alyssa Plaster, Tyler Jines, Johnthan Jines, Amyrah Phillips, and Jaylyn Phillips; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Lonnie Bill Phillips will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, with Rev. Curtis Dalton officiating. Committal services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Pallbearers will be Justin Phillips, Ronnie Barnette, Teddy Phillips II, Tracy Phillips, Michael Barnette, and Dean Barnette. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
