Lottie Blankenship Campbell SWORDS CREEK, Va. Mrs. Lottie Blankenship Campbell, age 92, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010, in a Lebanon, Va., hospital. Born April 8, 1918, in Page, Va., she was a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Caldonia Hess Blankenship. A lifelong resident of the Buchanan and Russell county areas, she had made her home for the past 16 years with her daughter, Betty Smith and her family. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and attended Robinson Fork Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Campbell; two sons, Jerry Charles Campbell and Buford Campbell; daughters, Rosalee Perkins and an infant daughter; several brothers and sisters; grandchildren, Ronnie, Donnie, and William Perkins; great-grandchildren, Mary and Perry Dye; and step-granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Stokes. In her generation, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include three daughters, Jane Hale of Oakwood, Glenna Stokes and husband, Charles and Betty Smith and husband, Carl, all of Swords Creek; three sons, Joseph Campbell and wife, Norma of North Carolina, Arnold "Bounce" Campbell and wife, Martha of Rowe, and Steven Campbell and wife, Pamela of Swords Creek; 32 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren;, and 36 great-great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Va., with Rev. Ancil Childress and Rev. Leonard Meadows officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Granddaughters will serve as flowergirls. Honorary pallbearers will be special friend, David Gray, family, friends, and a host of special nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
