Thomas, Teresa & Family, I know that Andy signed your mother's guest book because he didn't think that we would get to come to the funeral visitation because I have had a terrible virus since Thursday; however, we really wanted to pay our respects to you and the family. I told Andy that we will go and he could go up to you'll and I will keep my distance from everyone because I sure didn't want to pass the virus on. I would wave at you from the back. We really wanted to be there for you. We left the house at 1:28pm enroute to the church that I had in mind of where her service was, John Wesley Baptist Church on Lee St. to find no one there so we continued on to the other church on Mary St., no one there either. We went on around to New Hope and saw one or two cars there leaving & now the time was 1:58pm so we knewn it wasn't there. At this point, we didn't know what church or which direction to go in. We passed Rev. Reid going in the opposite direction of us on Lee hwy. & by that time it was too late to go & didn't know where else to try. We are very sorry that we didn't make it but we s-u-r-e did try. I still don't know where it is but I will know today.
Thomas, just wanted you to know that we love you'll and you'll are in our thoughts & prayers. The most previous gift that God can give us is the gift of salvation & by us accepting his gift is how we can get thru the loss of our loved ones from this earth. Someday, all of us that believe & accept our Lord will have a "Wedding Celebration" on God's "Promised Land" of "Beulah Land, Sweet Beulah Land." Your mother is having a beautiful "Wedding Celebration" now with our heavenly Father, her earthly father & mother, Tom & Pearl, your earthly father & all of the loved ones that had gone home before her. Thomas, I don't think that I knewn your mother but let me tell you young man, you sure did take your good looks after her for you look like your mother. May God always grant you & yours peace and comfort. Thomas, I admire, you, Teresa & so many others there at Lee Street Baptist Church for your strong conviction, faith & talent. You are truely servers for the Lord & Dr. W. A. Johnson is a wonderful preacher & server. Again, we love you'll & will remember you in our prayers. (I didn't mean to be so long)
