Mae Adkins BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. Mae Adkins, 88, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at her home. She attended Charity Chapel Baptist Church in the Orebank Community. Her husband, Willie Adkins; parents; three brothers; and two sisters preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters, Betty Sullivan, Ruth McMurray and husband Paul, and Margaret Hayes and husband Hiram, all of Blountville; one son, Curtis K. Adkins of Kingsport; eight grandchildren, Chuck Adkins, Becky Rouse, Travis Adkins, Mark Sullivan, Kristie Bowman, Bryan McMurray, Randy Wooten Jr. and Ronnie Wooten; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with evangelist Pat Hammond and Rev. Orville Rogers officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
