Maloy Harrison ABINGDON, Va. Maloy Harrison, 90, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at his home. He was born in Clinchco, Va., and was a son of the late Ned and Eliza Harrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers; and one twin sister. He was a member of Jackson Memorial Church in Bristol Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Opal Harrison; one son, Dean Harrison and wife, Debra of Abingdon; daughter, Barbara Price and husband, Marvin of Bristol Virginia; four grandchildren, Heather Buchanan and husband, Nathan, Hunter Harrison and fianc‚e, Traci Leonard, Melissa Harrington and husband, Brian, and Dianna Leonard and husband, Ernie; four great-grandchildren, Tanner Harrington, Jessica, Brandi and Mark Leonard; and several nieces and nephews. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Home Nursing Services of Southwest Virginia, the staff of Hospice of Southwest Virginia and to Dr. James Gardner. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with the Rev. Jason Hand and Rev. Gary Harless officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Teddy Sauls, Kenny Sauls, Travis Sauls, Con Sauls, Vayard Harrison and Randy Harrison. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Farris Funeral Service. Expressions of sympathy may be made by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guestbook. Mrs. Harrison and Family,

I want to thank you for the opportunity to get to know Mr. Harrison, his "quiet" life spoke volumns of his walk here on earth. Heaven is rejoicing of his Homecoming and Praise God we too will see him one day. My love and prayers are with you.
