Mary Lois Eads Stewart BRISTOL, Va. Mary Lois Eads Stewart, age 86, passed into her Heavenly Home on September 24, 2010. She was a resident of Washington County, Va., for most of her life, residing for a while at Westhaven Retirement Home in Abingdon, and most recently a resident of Bristol Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Austin Eads and Nannie Stella Clark Eads. She was a member of Cedar Grove Church; had attended Fleenors Memorial Church, St. Rt. 700, Bristol, VA, and for many years taught the children's Sunday School Class there. She was also predeceased by her husband, Paschal W. Stewart, who died September 11, 2001; her grandson, W. Blake McCroskey; her sister, Naomi Stewart; and her brothers, W.K., Austin Jr., Thurman and Paul Eads. She is survived by: daughter, Linda Rose and her friend, John Cunningham; son, Doug Stewart and his wife, Barb; grandchildren, Steve McCroskey and his wife, Mary, Sid Stewart and his wife, Sarah, Haley Stewart Dean and her husband, Rob, Amber Price and her husband, Andrew; great-grandchildren, Blakleah McCroskey Hensley and her husband, Junior, Alexis McCroskey, Baker Dean, Stewart Dean, Ethan Neal, Seth Price and Jewel Ann Price; brothers, R. D. Eads and his wife, Emlee, Billy F. Eads and his wife, Audrey; sisters, Ida Cullop and her husband, Fred, Iva Worley and her husband Ellis, Edna Denton and her husband, Carson; several special nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at 6 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. F. Roger Ball and Rev. Donald Denton officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-5:45 p.m. prior to the service. The committal service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Mountain View Mausoleum. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve McCroskey, Sid Stewart, Rob Dean, Andrew Price, Arthur McCroskey, Barrett Dye, Clyde Blosser, John Cunningham, Fleenors Memorial Church Family, family, friends and former neighbors, Dr. Toothman, Cathy Maine, F.N.P., Staff and friends at Westhaven, Staff and friends at Bristol Nursing Home and Dr. Quinn, former caretakers. The family requests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers, Cedar Grove Cemetery or Fleenors Memorial Church. Online condolences may be registered at www.weaverfuneralhome.net Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home.
