Mary Louise Weaver Shoemaker BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. Mrs. Mary Louise Weaver Shoemaker, 94, passed away Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, in Wellmont Hospice House. A lifelong resident of Sullivan County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Weaver and Irene Rogers Weaver. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Shoemaker; one sister, Eva Corson; and three brothers, Jim Weaver, Paul Weaver and Ernest Weaver. Mrs. Shoemaker was retired from J.C. Penney Co. where she was employed as office manager for over 40 years. An accomplished musician, she served as pianist, then organist for many years at Blountville Christian Church where she was a lifelong member. Survivors include two nieces, Kathryn Weaver and Mary Lou Weaver, both of Blountville; two nephews, Mac Weaver (Dianna) of Bristol, and Marlin Weaver of Blountville; a great-niece, Sandra Ashley of Blountville; and four great-nephews, Danny Ashley (Danita) of Nashville, Matthew Weaver (Regina) of Blountville, David Weaver (Amy) of Blountville and Chad Weaver of Nashville. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwight Shaffer officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be the men of the church. The family will receive friends from 1 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Blountville Christian Church, P.O.
