Mary Lucas

Mary Ruth Lucas JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. Mary Ruth Lucas, 56, , entered into Heaven on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport. She was a long time hair stylist, full of life and she loved her family and her dogs. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Mrs. Lucas was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Loma Stansberry Lucas; her brother, Paul Lane; a grandson; and two great grandsons. Survivors include her daughter, Tamala Mullins of Kingsport; her son; Bobby O. Mullins and wife, Rebecca of Glade Spring, Va.; five grandchildren, Chasity Scott, Geneva Garrett, Tony Mullins, Timothy Garrett, and Brittany Mullins; the twinkle in her eye her great-grandson, Isaiah Watts; two great-granddaughters, Mia Hale and Irelynd Mullins; three brothers, Ray Lane of St. Paul , Va., Eddie Lane of Coeburn, Va., and Harold Lucas and wife, Linda of Blountville; best friend, Pat Manis; special friend and caregiver, R.T. Roberts; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 - 3 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2010, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga St., Kingsport. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m. with evangelist Lee Roy Robinette, officiating. Burial will follow in Chestnut Flats Cemetery, Lucy Road, Kingsport.
