Michael Cecil Hibbitts

Michael Cecil Hibbitts CLINTWOOD, Va. Michael Cecil Hibbitts, was born on Dec. 18, 1962, in Detroit, Mich., and passed away on Dec. 2, 2010, at Grace Health Care in Abingdon. Michael was predeceased by his father, Cecil Hibbitts; his maternal grandparents, Milburn and Ardelia Austin Swindall; his paternal grandparents, Sam and Stella Mullins Hibbitts; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael is survived by his mother, Anita Swindall Hibbitts; his aunt, Tina Hibbitts Meade; and numerous cousins. Michael was a special child who attended Mongoloid Achievements School in Michigan and Happy Valley Day Program in Clintwood. He had resided at Grace Health Care since April 2010. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dickenson County Food Bank, P.O. Box 237, Clintwood, VA 24228. The family will receive friends at Clintwood Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 5, from 5 until 7:30 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held at 7:30 p.m. following visitation. Ken Childress will conduct the service. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 6, at the S.P. Hibbitts Family Cemetery on Georges Fork.
