Mildred Jordan

Mildred B. Jordan BRISTOL, Va. Mildred B. Jordan, age 91, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010, at her home. She was a native of Dickenson County, Va., and had made her home in Bristol since 1959. She was the daughter of the late Louis Boggio and Mary Scarberry Bise; step-daughter of the late W.D. "Bill" Bise; and the widow of Willard Jordan. She was a retired school teacher in Washington County, Va., and a member of the Washington County Retired Teachers Association. Mildred was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Johnny Jordan and wife, Phyllis of Clintwood, Va.; two sisters, Justine B. Eades and husband, Rex of Bristol Virginia, and Billie Hughes of St. Paul, Va,; one grandson, Kevin Jordan and wife, Donna of Bristol Virginia; one step-great-grandson, Tim Booher of Bristol Virginia; special step--great-great- granddaughter, Jaylah Anderson; one niece, Cathy Hughes; two nephews, Sammy Hughes and Gary Eades; and two special caregivers and friends, Nancy Bryant and Ashley "Nikki" Dunford. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2010, in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Stancil officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be selected from the men of First Baptist Church.
