Mollie Frances Dingus Mollie Frances Dingus, 83, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Nov. 10, 2009, surrounded by family at Baysmont. Mollie was born in Russell County, Va., on March 24, 1926. She was a 1943 graduate of Lebanon High School. She attended Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tenn. She married her devoted husband, Victor W., in 1946. Upon moving to Kingsport, she was employed by Mason-Dixon Trucking Lines. She also worked at the First National Bank of Sullivan County, retiring after 25 years of service, and part-time for 15 years at Hill's Department Store. Mollie was a member of Mayfair United Methodist Church of Kingsport. She was an avid University of Tennessee football fan and attended games for 30 years. She was also a 30-year member of the Women of the Moose organization, holding a variety of offices. After her devoted husband passed away in 1973, Mollie traveled many places, including Hawaii, the Holy Land, New York City, New Orleans and many other places. Her home for the last 13 years was the Oaks Assisted Care Living of Kingsport, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Victor W. Dingus; her parents, David Walter and Minnie Frances Price; sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Irene Devine; brothers, Thomas Price, C.R. Price, Reynolds Price, Robert Price, Luther Price, Dale Price and Burt Price; and stepmother, Margaret Price. Survivors include her sons, Victor R. Dingus and wife Jackie, of Blountville, Tenn., and Mark A. Dingus and wife Sally, also of Blountville; and sister, Lee Price, of Abingdon, Va. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 7 p.m., with Rev. Kimberly Goddard of Mayfair United Methodist Church officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, Va. Serving as pallbearers will be Claude Robert Johnson, James Crabtree, Gene Price, Myron Salyer, Gale Farthing and Don Carter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the following: Elk Garden United Methodist Church, 217 Hayters Gap Road, Rosedale, VA 24280; Bridge Home No Kill Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 654, Blountville, TN 37617; Mayfair United Methodist Church, 1409 Center St., Kingsport, TN 37664.
