Nancy Carol Davis BRISTOL, Va. Nancy Carol Davis, 70, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at NHC of Bristol. She was a lifelong resident of Bristol Virginia and lived most of her life in the Benhams community. She was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church and retired employee of Raytheon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leander and Ora Eller Clark; sister, Mary Sue Clark; and brother, Ralph Clark. Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Howard and husband, Robert; brother, Jack Clark and wife, Alma; two grandchildren, Stephanie Necessary and Jamie Howard; two great-grandchildren, Devon Howard and Daniel Necessary; sister-in-law, Judy Clark; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at Sugar Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Brandon Canter officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday at Akard Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Johnny Howard Necessary, Fred Baker, Wayne Hughes, Bobby Barker, Randall Brooks and Jeff Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Taylor, Jim Thomas, Reed Grable, Kenny Mann, Jim Howard, Jack Ingle, Dr. Tom Green Jr. and Dr. James Schrenker.
