Opal E. Musick KINGSPORT, Tenn. Opal Edwards Musick, 81, of Clinchport, Va., went to be with her Heavenly Father and husband early Sunday morning, Oct. 3, 2010, following a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Scott County. Mrs. Musick was a hard working and devoted wife and daughter who was an enduring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Musick Sr.; her parents, John and Lilia Horton Edwards; two brothers, Donnie Lee Edwards and Troy Otis Edwards. Opal Musick is survived by her son, Raymond M. Musick Jr. and wife, Pauline, Blountville, Tenn.; granddaughters, Mitzi Musick, Jonesborough, Tenn., and Tara Musick, Gray, Tenn.; her great- granddaughters, Kyah and Kaden; a sister, Jewell Grizzle, Clinchport; three nieces, Deborah Pendleton, Regina Starnes and Teresa Adams; two sisters-in-law, Letha Lane and Kate Templeton; three lifelong friends, Anna Hillman, Willie Mae Raby and Betty Denny. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Blessing officiating. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Holston View Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
