Oscar Cleveland Neece Sr. ERWIN, Tenn. Oscar Cleveland Neece Sr., 83, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at his residence in Erwin, Tenn. He was born in Dickenson County, Va.; son of the late Baxter and Pearl Johnson Neece. He was a native of Dickenson, Va., except for the last 17 days. He was a Deacon at Dyer's Chapel Church in McClure, Va. Mr. Neece always believed that all women were created special and should always be treated with respect. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Orby Neece and Carson Neece; three sisters, Niva Neece, Effie McMillan and Glenna Kiser. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Neece; one daughter, Shirley Salyer of Bristol, Virginia; one step daughter, Patricia Black of Erwin, Tenn.; four sons, Oscar Neece Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Wise, Va., Ray Neece of Hazel Mountain, Va., Roger Neece and wife, Nancy of Clintwood, Va., and Timmy Neece Sr. and wife, Coletta, of Nora, Va.; two step sons, Darrel Black and wife, Vickie, of Erwin, Tenn., and Stacy Black and wife, Jennifer of Erwin, Tenn.; two very special nieces, Erma Kiser Hubble and Judy Kiser Mortez; five grandchildren; one great grandson; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Oscar Cleveland Neece Sr. will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Va., with Pastor Robbie Hay officiating. All family and friends are invited to attend. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Va. In lieu of flowers the family request's that donations be made to Dyer's Chapel Church, McClure, VA 24269 in Oscar's memory.
