Pansy Arlene Hutton Cornette MARION, Va. Pansy Arlene Hutton Cornette, age 80, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, surrounded by her family. She was born in Smyth County, Va., on Nov. 20, 1929, the daughter of the late Walter Glenn Hutton and Mary Elizabeth Huff Hutton. Pansy is survived by: her husband of 60 years, Billie Cornette; three daughters, Karen Pennington and husband David of Marion, Sandy King and husband Clyde of Rural Retreat, Va., Norma Pruitt and husband Bobby of Marion; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her sister, Evelyn Rich, of Elkton, Md.; sisters-in-law, Genevieve Hutton of Princeton, W.Va., Chris Cornett, of Sugar Grove, Va.,; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at the Lindsey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenny Price and Rev. Gary Trout officiating. Burial will follow in the Slemp Cemetery in Sugar Grove. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Lindsey Funeral Home or at the residence at any time. Special thanks to the Hospice of Southwest Virginia for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time, also to Betty Parks and Nikki Waits, very special caregivers. Lindsey Funeral Home, Rural Retreat, Va., is handling the arrangements.
