Ralph E. "Rusty" Myers GLADE SPRING, Va. Ralph E. "Rusty" Myers, age 53, passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. He was a retired U.S. Army Veteran, and a employee of Mid-Mountian Foods/Food City Distribution Center. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Aretta Virginia Myers; son, David Allen Myers of Glade Spring, Va.; father, Espa Myers of Oklahoma; brothers, Richard Johnston of Abingdon, Va., Jeffery Johnston of South Carolina; special uncle, Carl Jackson of Bristol Tennessee; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Geary Jonas and Rev. Benny Frye officiating. Entombment will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Knollkreg Memorial Park in Abingdon with Military Rites. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday evening prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Cory Johnston, Richard Johnston, Jeffery Johnston, Cody Huffman, Ryan Pinlott, Allen Asbury, Jeffery Jackson and Johnny Wilkinson.
